Hello All,
Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.
Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).
Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

Re: Dragon Queen: Avery Rome Book Three Live...
I would assume there are networks of people that would acquire books via KU, goto end and then return the book just so they can all claim higher sales. Such a scam would be easy to detect. One could hope that Amazon would have dire consequences for people acting in such a manner.

Re: Dragon Queen: Avery Rome Book Three Live...
It wouldn't be difficult to write an algorithm to detect for scammers. I can think of two ways: 1) Keep track of when a user starts and completes a book. A median pages/hour can be derived, if a person is outside a standard deviation (on the fast side), then it's probably safe to not count it. 2) Ke...

Re: Troy Lopez
He needs a partner. But a true human? Another non-human? Something that has always irked me about the urban fantasy/paranormal genre is how rarely regular people interact with the supernatural in a positive, non-romantic manner.

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
I wouldn't go out of your way to read the latest Kurtherian Gambit (Justice is Calling). It isn't all that great. The characters are flat and have significant personality changes in the matter of days. The world is poorly explained. The villain is cartoonish and his motivations are poorly explained....

Re: Height Comparisons [SPOILERS]
They just can't see them as equals and find it hard to take orders from them. It was worse than that, the nobles were beginning to view commoners as less than human. There are thought experiments that have shown that when people are put in positions of power, they quickly (and somewhat disturbingly...

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
I've thought about consolidating it all to a single table, but then I find something that sounds less like work to do.

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
I loved the first book of Elliott Kay's series, and I started the second and it didn't take long for me to abandon it - as soon as I heard the main character was letting the girls go for other guys, and it was becoming open relationships I knew it wasn't for me. That said, the man really knows how ...

I got a little under 95 thousand years too.
17 months = 578 days = 13872 hours
.06 seconds = 0.000016667 hours
0.000016667/13872 = 1/X, X=832153569 hours = 34673065.4 days = 94994.7 years

Re: Tony Winters as Mary Sue...
A Mary Sue is a character with several traits: 1) Their backstory doesn't fully support displayed skills or abilities. 2) They almost always succeed and even when they fail, it's no big deal. 3) They rarely make a mistake. 4) They're rarely physically or emotionally hurt. 5) They rarely show any per...

Audiobooks are very expensive to produce, so unless he's guaranteed to a at least break even or willing to take a loss, I don't see it happening.
