Re: Vile Machinations
No kidding. Dark with a tiny hint of sunlight at the end. Connor is an interesting character, and the world is fascinating in a can't-look-away-from-the-carwreck sort of way. I bought my copy as soon as it came out since I wanted to leave a verified review and expressed much the same sentiments there. I know you said stand-alone, Dale, but you cannot leave us hanging. At least make it a three book series.
Re: Vile Machinations
The next book will be Mirror man 3 (already working on it. Personal matters caused a setback. That and getting interested in a different project that has nothing to do with writing...)
Then I have a three book at once project coming. *I will be written three books. I may switch what I was going to write about, due to the fact that Ripping off Frankenstein, even if totally legal, is a bit cheap and I don't want to be part of a world that only has rehashed old stories...
After that will probably be the second Gems of Memory. That one could be a bit later, of course. There is so much to do and so little time in life to get it all done. (Who came up with this "sleep" thing anyway?)
