Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

So that's what haggis looks like ( I thought it was a , bloated giant insect larva being attacked by maggots) It looks (gak urp ) delicious? Maybe I'll have to bring in one of my Polish dishes like CZARNINA It's duck blood soup hard to come by since the USDA put the clamps on selling animal blood, you kinda have to know somebody.

Pesky USDA bossing everyone around...I say give me animal blood or give me ...err never mind the whole pain part of dying puts me off.

On a side note Ron I love the whole "You kinda have to know somebody." From now on when I think of you Ron I'm thinking 3rd generation Polish Mafia! It's awesome the cast of characters we've assembled here on the forums. I have this mental image of us meeting these guys in a field in the dark and they pass us a cask of animal blood and we give them some P.S Power bobbleheads to take back to the old country. Big Jim is in his war kilt covering our back. Marcia has her medical gear checking the quality of the cask. John is all smiles standing with his Julie Andrews cutout date. Argy is driving the get away car and the rest of the crew is all waiting back at the lounge for us to return with the cask so the party can begin! It's good to be alive!!! :D

twips your FUNNY!

I think Keely could arrange to get us that animal blood (tho I don't want any part of eating it OR the haggis- turning green even considering it!).

Twips,
You can't say you weren't warned about the hagis. Did you think I was kidding when I said you needed to have a full bottle of scotch before attempting to eat it? Nope, sorry, Laddie but that was the truth. I also want to say I am very happy that the Scotch forum got back to Scotch and away from the nurses.
On that subject, I was wandering through Costco the other day and came across a bottle of 1945 cask McCallum's single malt at the remarkably low price of only $1999.00. And yes, the decimal is in the right place. While I would very much like to have tried it, I felt it might have been a bit out of my price range. Anyone ever have the privilege of actually tasting a very very old single malt? I understand that the residents of the Scottish heaven have some sent up from time to time.

Big Jim! Where have you been bud? No no it's ok.. Probably another mission for Dale.. We understand the need for secrecy. Heh ya I did kind of get away from the scotch a bit didn't I. I actually deal with nurses quite a bit so it kind of came natural to me. Jim if I bought a 2000.00 dollar scotch the last post on my account would be a video of me tied to a pole being presented with a blindfold by my family. (Course I'd go out like Breaker Morant and say "Shoot straight, you bastards! Don't make a mess of it." No the most expensive scotch I have had wasn't even a single malt. A friend gave me a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue which I think runs about 160 or 170 for a 750 ml bottle. I assume a cask would contain about the same amount of scotch as a case so about half that price I guess. It was good scotch but I wouldn't pay that much for it. (I would get two bottles of 16 yr old Lagavulin instead) Anyway it's good to have you back Big Jim! :D

Hey everybody, just finished visiting with my daughter who came up for Christmas. After dinner, we started talking about our respective lives and I mentioned this forum, scotch specifically. Turns out she's an aficionado, herself. She likes Macallans 15, but doesn't like spending that much very often, so her go to is Glenrothes, which she highly recomends being very close in taste. Now I'm not very good at discerning any taste or smell, those senses are pretty burned out in me, so I'm just going on her say so. But she tells me that if you like Laphriog, for its peaty, Smokey flavor, try Oban. And if you're looking for a scotch with a honey, spice nose try Balbenie. I don't know what any of that means, anything beyond Cutty Sark and I'm lost. She also told me she's leasing a square foot of a Laphriog distillery through some club, don't know why, she just laughed about it. Goofy kid. Anyway that's all I can bring to the table. Or bar as the case may be. Merry Christmas, everyone, HO HO HO!

Lot's of good info Ron! Thank you and thank your daughter as well. I think in her honor we're going to get a bottle of Oban and review that next. I'm jealous of her having a square foot of distillery and it's Laphroaig at that ...I want one! :) Merry Christmas Everyone.
