People have asked for an advanced heads up as to when things will be ready for reading. Enough of them that I'm actually doing it this time!
It should be a bit less than a week, call it five days.
Some info: This book, while it is a mystery/thriller, is also a bit quirky and interesting in a way that just fringes on what most serious mystery readers will probably except.
For instance:
The main character is a Clown. He has a doctorate in history, and an old, but nearly forgotten love of mysteries, especially real ones. His focus is on the "Why" of things. It's easy to find out what happened and sometimes even who was involved, but why is a thing that escapes even the best, most of the time. A drunk that hit rock bottom after what was nearly the worst divorce ever, he's on the way back up. This isn't the story of a man going down, or settled in his despair.
The main villain is also a clown, if not a professional.
There is breathtaking clown versus clown action, though no combat. (A battle of wits, if one that also involves a lot of sharp things and people in peril.)
Those of you who haven't picked up yet Ijime will want this one. There are no overt supernatural elements, but the sharpness of the main characters mind borders on that at times. (While still being a basically likable person!)
So this is really just the teaser, keep an eye out here, since the ability to get a copy will be coming shortly!

Editing going well! If people want to see it, I should have it ready for everyone to pre-read on the fifteenth or so. Since there will be a lot of people that want it, I think, I'll start taking requests early and send it out as soon as possible.
I plan to have this coming out around the twentieth to twenty-fifth.
Please let me know what works best for people.
Thanks!

Saturday! I'm taking today off. (Supposedly. That doesn't always go to plan when I try it.) I should have the new book ready for people to look at in a few days.
Currently, I'm going over it again. Reading the whole thing out loud, to force greater focus on it, and then it will go back to the first beta reader, to make sure I didn't add a bunch of errors into it. Then on to you! This has extra steps, compared to what I used to do, but I hope it also means better books.
I'm collecting up those responses from people already, so that everyone will get a good copy of this as soon as possible! I have room for more people still. (This one is far more popular than Ijime was already! I'm taking that to be a very good sign.)
Oh: if you want to get in on this, it's:
power_dale@yahoo.comJust send an e-mail about it. Tag it as "editing A Fear of Clowns" or something like that, so I'll know what it's about, and then, in a few days (probably sooner than I think, because that's the way it normally goes...) I'll be able to get things to people directly, and no one will be left out!
I should have the cover up in a few days for people to look at too.
Thanks!

Jason Hadley is down on his luck. After a year on the streets, following a devastating divorce, he'd finally managing to get his feet back under himself and climb back into the normal world. True, he has to work as a clown, instead of a history professor, but everyone has to start somewhere.
Things are looking up for him too, thanks to his friends Carlos and Wendy getting him a job in Las Vegas, helping out in a casino that recently lost most of their performers under sketchy circumstances.
Right up until a former client of his dies, after being kidnapped by a man in a clown mask. When there's only one clown in town, the authorities don't have to look too far, for a suspect.
Luckily for Jay, he's not just an average clown on the street, because getting through the whole mess is going to take a lot more than any old bozo would have the chops for.
*I have the cover and will be trying to get that up on the home page directly!
It you want to get in on editing or pre-reading, that's open now. Books will be sent out directly, with no waiting.

Thanks Marcia!
I'm still planning for the book to come out between the 20th and 25th of this month.
I hope that everyone interested in mysteries, or even slightly quirky books will give this a chance! It's different than many will think, and in many ways better. (I think so, at least.)
Does anyone have a day of the week they think it should go up on? Preferences and all that? If so, let me know!
Thanks.

So next Tuesday? That would be the 25th...
Is it better to do it that day, or on another then? Is there more competition on Tuesdays? Hmmm...
Things to ponder!
