Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

p.s. Sorry about all of the coding errors. They reset nightly these days and I can't keep up with changing the code that often... :(

Hey Twips,

What's your favorite scotch from the East Coast?

That's a tough question Argy. As you know I mostly drink scotch from western island of Islay or the most northern island of Orkney. I could cheat a bit and say Highland Park as Orkney even though to the north is still on the eastern side of Scotland but I won't. Most of the scotches from the east are more delicate with floral/fruit undertones. I'm going to withhold my judgement for now and take this as a challenge to find a scotch from the east that is more in line with my flavor profile. My wife will have to be informed that this is a project I'm conducting on your behalf and that you take full responsibility. (TY Argy :D ) No no I like you Argy and it wouldn't be fair to throw you under the bus by yourself. But who to include...Hmmm..You know...Dale refused to banter with me much when I teased him about his mom coming after him on the other topic. Dale has also declined to make an appearance here on the scotch forum despite my best efforts. (Could be Estrid running interference.) Excellent Plan Argy...You and Dale approached me requiring a run down of eastern scotch as research for a new book!

Argy I'm sorry to report that I can't find a scotch from the east coast that works for me. The scotches there are just too sweet for me. I did some research and it's possible I've missed something but so far I'm at a loss. Perhaps one of our readers or a guest of the lounge could give us a recommendation but so far I'm failing in our quest.

I appreciate you taking the time to look Twips!

Next question for research - What's your favorite scotch from the West Coast?

Hmmm....Argy does this include all factors such as cost etc or just taste?

We should go with just taste I think...

16 year old Lagavulin for taste alone. It has a big peat-smoke flavor with some vanilla in there as well. The problem with this scotch is the makers are very proud of it and charge about 80 dollars a bottle. If I ever win the lottery I'll be drinking Lagavulin...until then there are some very fine scotches like 12 year old Highland Park for half that price. Off topic Argy but I'm curious how you liked the clown book?

I enjoyed it despite identifying with the hero in some ways.

How big are the bottles of scotch listed above?

750 ml or 25.36 oz. Almost all wine or liquor will come in that size bottle. Some does come in 1.75L. bottles but in the case of scotch that's mostly the blended variety.
