Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

Oh no, you saw the tv show before reading Dresden? That's a shame. I appreciated the show as an offshoot of the series, but so many things just annoyed me that I couldn't continue forcing myself to watch it. A hockey stick? ugh

Just finished Foul Mouth book four, Headless Hunny. I am now wishing that Richard Raley wrote as fast as Dale. That was an intense ending and I WANT MORE....

King Henry Price has joined my list of favorite characters...

Two new sets that I have enjoyed are
The Maestro Chronicals by John Buttrick (4 books so far) and
The Hellequin Chronicals by Steve McHugh (3) - this is a bit darker and more violent.

Good news is that it would give you at least 7 books to read and by then it is all but certain that at least one new book by Dale will be forthcoming.

"Schooled in Magic" by Christopher Nuttal

Emily is a neglected 16 year old history geek with no future. Until she is snatched from our world by an insane necromancer trying to summon "A Child of Destiny with vast but untrained magical potential". The punchline being that "Destiny" is the name of her alcoholic gutter trash mother.

This is the first book in a great series that I've been following on the authors blog. (Like Dale he has been known to give proofreading copies to people who ask nice). Since It's getting a dead tree release they are slightly slower to come out than the author's other books and there are more of them in the buffer.

Schooled in Magic: Emily's first year of magic school.

Lessons in Etiquette: Emily visits her friend's home kingdom during break.

A Study in Slaughter: Emily's second year at magic school, a murder mystery.

Work Experience: Emily goes on a roving patrol with a combat sorceress.

The School of Hard Knocks (unwritten): Emily's third year of magic school, possibly at a different school.

Let's see... Headless hunny newset in the King Henry Price. Awesome.
Weird Sisters. Awesome if you like modern fantasy without the overload of of LKH sex.
The new Slow Burn by Adair is out.
Still got to get back to finish the two newest by Rau.
For those that don't know about it. Bookbub.com is an awesome place to get daily deals for discounted or free books on a multitude of platforms.
Also finished the latest by Shannon Mayer.
As for the Dresden and Stackhouse series vs shows. Yeah the Dresden books are Nothing like the show. But I liked both. I couldn't watch Trueblood after I started reading the stackhouse books just because they are nothing remotely alike. Then again Trueblood is more or less softcore porn imo.

I think Chris Nuttal mentioned on his blog that the first three "Schooled in Magic" books are scheduled to come out at intervals this year. So maybe spring , summer, fall? Book 4 got picked up but no word on the release date. Book five is on the to do list and I can't wait! The only reason they're not out instantly is because they're getting published.
Right now he's writing "Necropolis" the third royal sorceress book. Since Christmas he's written Ark Royal, Learning experience, and the Nelson Touch. He's a Machine! He posts chapters in progress on the spacebattles forum for error correction and comments.

If any of you read and liked "I won a Spaceship" by Harrison Park. He has another book under a different pen name called "The girls school" by Connard Wellingham. You can find it free on the interweb but its not in a download friendly format. Cut and Paste!
