Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

p.s. Sorry about all of the coding errors. They reset nightly these days and I can't keep up with changing the code that often... :(

Dead End: Reboot!

Unread postby PS Power » Sun Mar 23, 2014 12:23 pm

The Dead End series is being changed up a bit. Mainly a solid cleaning, ala editing, new covers and... additional material for each book.
(Some short stories appropriate to the time given in the story. Different perspectives on life, events and all that.) about 40% new content per book.

The current plan should have these coming back out in late summer of 2014.

I'm not making promises here, but there is a small chance of a new spin off series coming out of this, following some of the people after the ending of the series. (Between the end of the Zombie troubles and the real formation of a new civilization.)

So, if anyone has character favorites they want to put for the for that, this is a good time and place to kick those ideas around.

This is just to keep everyone in the loop!

Now I'm going to have to reread all of them to remind myself who I liked and disliked...

There are worse things! :D

Those are some of the people I've been thinking about...

Also a few background people, to show the difference in perspectives.

That hard part is the timing. I'd love to use the same time frame for a few events, to show different perspectives, but I don't want to inter-space them in particular.

I would really enjoy reading about what was going on at the house during the times when Jake was gone. The spin off series would be cool as well. I liked what you did at the end but more depth would be great.

Dale, this sounds like a great idea to me! Dead End are the books I first read that you authored. And I think that your plans with it sound to be be both justified and seem to further the story. I would buy them. As always, always willing to proofread.
Thanks, Sean

I guess I'm weird, I only care about Jake's perspective lol. More Jake and I'm down, don't honestly care what others were doing or thinking :P

Once I saw this was going to be rereleased, I went back and reread the series yet again. I would love to see the tale of how Matilde won her name, as well more background on Colleen. She is Rachel's sister, I get that, but she just sort of pops up at the police camp and we don't get much of her backstory. Same with Vickie, really. I don't need all the bad stuff she went through, but a little about her life before the ZA would help round things out for me.

Since this is just about my favorite series, I am pretty jazzed to see an update. For me, the ending still seemed somewhat of a downer, since we only get to find out that Jake/Mickey lived happily (?) ever after and that is about it. He goes through four books getting tortured mentally and physically and all we get is a few lines to sum up everything.

If you want to read the new material, I could use some Beta readers/editors for the project right now.

It's only about fifty thousand words (plus a little) and in short story form. (That's about half a regular sized novel, more or less. Technically it's a short book length amount of material.)

Yes, there is some stuff from Colleen/Vickie/Cam/Nate/Tipper/Burt perspective. Plus... A new Mickie story. :) I don't want to give spoilers. Also Alan. Yep. Alan.

So, you all probably know the drill. If you'd like to play, please let me know by sending an email to: power_dale@yahoo.com

Putting something like: Stories from the End of the World in the title bar is good. Just something that will identify you as not sending me an offer for Viagra, or a Russian mail order bride

Thanks! I'll re-post this in it's own thread so that more people will see it.
