Hello All,
Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.
Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).
Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
The problem I have with most authors is, they will have great first books that end in a cliffhanger and the second book starts right where the last one ended as if it's the same book making the story seem extremely week and not thought out at all... I hate series like this as they are hard to finish and most of the time they never finish (7-8+ books and still going...). I usually can read 3 sometimes even 4 books of a series like this before I give up. So for all those great series out there with 7+ books out, I've already stopped reading them and really need some better stuff to read!

True Korwin, but do they ever finish? Just picked up "The Dresden Files" first 7 books for $1.99 each, thought of continuing the series; but found the next installment priced at $8.50 something. The next 6 or so just simply priced out of my reach. Not fair, I thought. So unless the author decides to run a fire-sale I probably won't finish the series. So I agree with Hokonoso, it's just not worth getting involved with an ongoing series, value-wise for me.

Yea and the worst part is, the books are actually good! It's just the structure and pricing that makes me not keep up. I read way too much to get suckered into $8-$11 books that never end... If/when some of these series actually end I may finish them but I'm not reading them one book at a time anymore...

+1 on the Codex Alera series. Those books were amazing and the whole 1-5 have been out for a while so you can get through them in a flash. Also, all are available in paperback so you can pick them up at just about any used bookstore for half price (or less).
At the other end of the spectrum, I paid $15 for the e-advanced reading copy of John Ringo's "Islands of Rage and Hope". Worth every penny. This is book Three of a planned four book series and the first two volumes are already out.

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
I read on average, 3-4 books per week, maybe more in the long Mi. winters, so yeah, all gone. I started John Ringo in paperback, then on Kindle. He too, became too expensive to follow. So now I watch for specials from Amazon, kindle and the like. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. Kinda like dating. Or marriage. I've got a hamburger budget, so if I want steak, I have to save up for it. Or look around for sales. Or wait for gift cards on birthdays, father's day, etc. Hey that one is just around the corner, cool!

You know the baen monthly bundles?
http://www.baenebooks.com/c-3-monthly-baen-bundles.aspx
Sadly since baen got on amazon, they arent (allowed) to sell the old ones...
Also do you know Connie Suttle?
Her books do have (99%) massive cliffhanger. But she got finished with her first multy arc series.
I'm bougth her last two, but I'm putting off reading them until there are more new ones out, after Blood Finale (the last one of the God Wars serie). ~28 books
