I try not to read excerpts from upcoming books, just because it makes me want the book right then and there and tickles my angry bone when it's not avalible. So as soon as I finish the last chapter, or the epilo, I close it or skip to the very end to find similar to read from the recommendations.

Yeah, I normally don't read them either, but I was reading (or rather, listen via TTS) all the books in the series one after another, so I didn't think there was any harm in letting the excerpt go on for a bit if I was busy with something that kept my hands occupied at the moment the book ended and the excerpt started.

Imp series by Debra Dunbar, just finished the 2nd book and they have been quite entertaining so far.
