Tonight we'll be reviewing a mixed blend scotch called Robert Burns. This scotch was named after the famous Scottish poet from the 1700's.
This scotch has a nice light gold color to it. The nose is pleasant with some apple and maybe prune. The taste is smooth and I didn't really notice too much alcohol bite. The scotch has some pear in there but I can also taste some background lemon. All in all the taste is mild compared to most of the other scotches we have looked at. The finish of this scotch is also mild and makes me think custard.
This is not a bad scotch and is fairly cheap. I would like it better with more peat but it would still fill the role of a before dinner drink with guests.
Before we wrap up for tonight I've been asked to mention that Argy's lounge has some thrilling news. It seems that since we were able to meet with Ron's polish contacts and get the cask of duck blood...wait for it....Czarnina is now on the menu!!! That's right folks head on down to Argy's and get a big bowl of duck blood soup to fight off the cold weather. We look forward to seeing you there!
