Huh, my guess was Bethany and Petra, only because they both act more responsible than they normally do, when they are actually in charge of something (their ships in particular). However, I sure can see Gloria too, now that you mention it.

Are Bethany Westmoreland and Petra Ward the same person in alternate realities? I know I read in both series how they seem to act more mature and responsible when they are placed in charge. Thats most of the reason I base the question on.

As I recall, Dougs' girlfriend infected him while watching a horror movie. He was probably thinking about the actress who kept managing to lose her top throughout the movie and thinking what he'd do to 'protect' her if he were in the movie, regardless of the 'self-sacrifice'.
